Tonya R. Johnson-Hunter serves as the Assistant Director for the Wives’ Support Ministry at First Baptist and on the prayer team. She is a teacher and writer with more than 30 years of experience as an educator.
Reverend Beverly Little
Reverend Beverly has been blessed by God to serve as a teacher, advisor, mentor, and counselor. She serves along side her husband as Director of the Couples Ministry. As a teacher, she teaches a number of women and couples classes. In addition, she also spends time counseling and mentoring women.
Charita Matthews is a licensed cosmetologist, holds a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University, and has experience as Chief Editor at Matthews Media Management. Since 1997, she has been involved at First Baptist in the Dance, Nurses’, and Queen Esther Ministries. She has also been a faithful member of the Wives’ Support Ministry for more than 10 years and has a passion for helping women achieve work-life balance.
Geneva founded and served as Director for the FBCG Wives’ Support Ministry for 21 year. She currently serves as an Advisor. She is also an alumni member of the SID (Sisters in Discipleship) Ministry a facilitator for Women’s Focus Studies, and a student in the Bible Institute. Serving in different capacities give her joy as she follows her passion to empower, nurture, and share wisdom with younger women.
Reverend Iris Tate
Reverend Iris F. M. Tate currently serves as an Associate Ministry at First Baptist Church of Glenarden. She is the founder and director of TATE Ministries. Minister Iris’ ultimate goal in life is to help hurting people (particularly women) come to the full knowledge of their potential in Christ Jesus as they walk in total deliverance and healing.
Maria E. White, affectionally called “SisterReRe”is a member of First Baptist Church of Glenarden andserves as the Directorof theWives’ Support Ministry (WSM). Maria is a God-fearing woman who loves the Lord, andvaluesand honors the institution ofmarriage. Her passion is supportingwomento understand and live out their role as a wifeas defined by 1 Peter 3. Since1995, Maria has supported many women across the countryon their spirit-filled journey to develop a more intimate relationship with God.
