Marilyn Lacy

Marilyn Lacy is a Baltimore, MD native lovingly dedicated to her first call as a mother to her seven daughters and son.  Marilyn is a respected self-published author, sought after speaker, survivor. She is also an advocate for women and teen girls who have survived or are being sexually abused.  Growing up in one of Baltimore’s most notorious housing projects, she has overcome many hardships and strongholds to answer the call of God.  She has committed her life to Christ, kingdom building, and the healing of survivors, kingdom building and the healing of survivors of sexual trauma. 

Her book “The Grace of my Lover (Jesus) A Women’s Journey to Salvation,” has received heartfelt reviews.  After becoming a widow in 2016, the next to hear Marilyn became an entrepreneur and serve as Founder and CEO of Restored by Marilyn LLC. 

 Marilyn is a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, and she continues to grow under the teachings of her pastor, John K. Jenkins Sr. and First Lady Trina Jenkins.  Marilyn is a facilitator for the Tamar Ministry which helps survivors of sexual abuse by teaching them to apply biblical principles in their lives to help them through their healing process.  In 2018, she launched the #takecare initiative, which demonstrates the love of God through street ministry and provides the homeless living in Washington, DC. Maryland and Virginia area with hygiene products, socks, blankets, coats, and clothes. Marilyn’s resolve is to complete the God-ordained call on her life by doing the work of an evangelist, serving and making foolproof of the ministry.  She is a dynamic disciple developing dynamic disciples
