Y’Anna possesses vocals that are often reminiscent of the iconic voice of the "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin, who has been one of her greatest musical influences. Her musical interpretation takes you on a journey that is captivating, heartfelt, soulful and spirit-filled.  Y’Anna has worked with recording artist such as TWEET, Raheem Devaughn, Glen Jones, Dave Hollister, Jennifer Lopez, Ledisi, Chrisette Michelle, Angie Stone and more.


Y’Anna’s faith-based roots and marketplace appeal have afforded her opportunities to win awards, headline in historic venues and become the founder and president of The PROMISE Foundation, a proposed 501C3 organization that seeks to provide health and wellness, fitness education initiatives, social services, self-esteem building for women and teens who struggle with identity crisis/low self-esteem, and scholarships to single mothers in the African American and Latino communities.


Y’anna is well known as the 2009 BET Sunday Best Winner, as well as the winner of the 2012 New Artist of the Year Stellar Award. She also appeared on BET’s Sunday Best in 2011 and BET’s Celebration of Gospel in 2012.
